This blog has been dedicated to Henry, of course... and for whatever reason I have not started blogging about the fact that we are doing this whole thing all over again. Not blogging, the baby thing.
We are expecting another baby boy in January 2010. The boys will be about 16 months apart. Yikes!
I did not need the ultrasound to tell me I was having another boy. This pregnancy is pretty much identical to the last... right down to the never-ending morning sickness. 20 weeks, still sick.
The one difference is my cravings... apparently this little man may be Mexican. I could eat tacos for every meal if I would allow myself. I am still holding out for these stupid tacos I saw on the Food Network from Indiana Beach. However, seeing that I will not likely be getting those, I will settle for tacos from Taco Bell, Moe's, Chipotle, El Salto or anywhere else that serves them. The tacos can be soft or crunchy, and I always take the meat off. Don't make the mistake of ordering them without the meat though. I like the "essence" of the meat on the shell. Always add ketchup.
Anyway, enough about my tacos... that is our news. Here are a few extra pictures of the Hankster to finish out the post.

First Haircut
Last Saturday we took Henry to get his first haircut. Kevin wanted to take him to the barbershop like a real man, but I knew better. After watching the whole thing go down, Kevin is converted. I think he may want to get his hair cut there next time, if only for the popcorn and juice box you get if you are good! :)
Henry was great. He has some issue with the clippers, but overall was very cooperative. He did much better than the little boy next to him that screamed, no, SCREAMED, the entire time. Kevin videotaped the whole thing, but it would take a year to upload on here, and nobody wants to hear the screaming, no, SCREAMING, in the background. Perhaps we can edit that out!

...and he's up
Soon after the crawling really started to pick up, Henry learned to sit up on his own. This has been a source of frustration with him for a while, so I am happy for him that he finally figured it out. Not one day after he figured that out, he figured out how to pull himself up in his crib. Needless to say, the mattress has now been lowered significantly in his crib. Lucky for me, he has not yet figured out that pulling up can be accomplished anywhere other than his crib... for now! :)
...and he's off
and into the dog toys, and grabbing for cords, and chasing the dogs, and chasing the cat, and playing with the trash can, and headed for the dog food, and into the diaper bag, and into his snacks, and etc... etc... etc....
time to start baby proofing... perhaps I should have started this before he started moving!

St. Joe, Michigan
Lake Michigan as viewed from our car... while driving...
Kevin and I decided that we would head up to St. Joe, Michigan today and walk around the beach and downtown. We were pleasantly surprised, or more accurately, I was pleasantly surprised that the Art Fair was going on. We never made it to the beach, so we did not get many pics, but we had a great time nonetheless. Kevin found a few postcards from the early 1900's depicting some of the court houses that we practice in. He plans to frame them for his new office, or more accurately, he plans to have ME frame them for his new office.
First Piano Recital
...or rock concert, you decide! I am pretty sure I saw some of these moves performed by Steven Tyler at an Aerosmith concert a few years back.
