Grandma Sue and Grandpa Joe got Henry an awesome sled for Christmas. The weather cooperated and provided a perfect blanket of snow for us to take it out for a test drive. Special thanks to Nana for the snow suit... although, we need to find some snow boots to go with it next! Henry loved the sledding experience, which lasted about 7 minutes in all. The best part... a little warmed up chocolate milk in a sippy cup when we came inside. I anticipate that our little guy will be quite the snow lover if today is any indication. Now for the pictures...

Santa Visit 2009
Okay, I have a lot of catching up to do over the last month, but this is an easy post... Last year was a success, but I was slightly concerned that was only because he was 2.5 months old and clueless. This year, he is 14 months old, full of personality and has a little more stranger anxiety... however, Henry was such a trooper and LOVED Santa! You will notice Santa holding his hand down b/c Henry kept laughing and trying to grab his beard/touch his face! Classic!

Happy Halloween 2009!
Henry had his first real trick or treat experience this year, although I must say it was much easier keeping him in his costume last year! We made it to 5 houses total... Grandma Sue's, Great Gramma Pat's, Aunt Shari's, Aunt Shari's neighbor and the Troyer house. We had more on our agenda, but a lack of an afternoon nap and that whole dinner thing made it virtually impossible. Here are some pics of our little monkey!

Apple and Pumpkin Pickin
Being a weekend free from Notre Dame and Bears Football, we got our daddy back. Today, we bundled up the little man and took him to County Line Orchard. It was a little cold, but a good time was had by all. If you are in the area... I highly recommend making the trip, if for nothing else but the pumpkin and apple doughnuts they make fresh all day.

One.
Henry had his 1 yr wellness check visit yesterday. Here are the stats:
Weight: 24 pounds, 2 ounces - 70th percentile
Height: 31 1/2 inches - 97th percentile
Dr. said that if he continues on this growth curve, he will be over 6 feet tall. Whose child is he, anyway? I mean, I know he looks like me, but neither of us are tall by any standard. Not short, but not tall either...
I would write more about how sweet and perfect he is, but today is not the day. This morning he decided that he was done sleeping at 3:00 a.m. His molars have been coming in, so we usually have one or two quick wake-ups in the middle of the night, but a binky puts us right back to sleep. If that fails, I bring him to bed with us and he will sleep just fine. Not today. He was up... talking, playing, etc... It was brutal. He may be preparing me for his brother, but note to Hank... Mommy is not ready for that yet. We will see how tonight goes. I am hopeful that between the shots, the doctors appt and a "good nap day" yesterday, last night was a fluke and our nightly routine will return to normal tonight. We shall see.
